Episode 60 is here! Forrest flying solo this week talking about the good fight of faith. As much as we may have came to Jesus for some rest, we have unwittingly signed up for the fight of our lives. We have an adversary who understands it’s a war so it’s time we understand what we truly have been called into. I know we missed a week but we’re back like we never left. Hope this one is a blessing to someone. Keep us in your prayers and spread the word.
Also, the conversation goes further in our “A Little More Matters” bonus episodes for our Patreon family, for more info on becoming part go to www.patreon.com/realchurchmatters!
1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
2 Timothy 4:7
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 3:8
Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
51 “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you.
36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
1 Corinthians 9:26
I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
1 Timothy 6:12
12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
4 In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
