SICK WITH HOPELESSNESS
1 Thessalonians 4:13
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
WITHOUT GOD WE HAVE NO HOPE | Ephesians 2:12
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
HOPELESSNESS PRODUCES DISOBEDIENCE | Jeremiah 18:11-13
11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good. 12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his evil heart.

HOPE IS THE CURE
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

WE LIVE BY FAITH, HOPE AND LOVE | 1 Corinthians 13:12-13

HOPE CANNOT BE SEEN | Romans 8:25
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

WHAT SHOULD I HOPE IN?
HOPE IN GOD | 1 Peter 1:21
Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
HOPE IN NOT A BETTER LIFE BUT ANOTHER LIFE | 1 John 3:2-3

HOPE IN GOD’S WORD | Romans 15:4

WHAT DOES HOPE LOOKS LIKE?
20 My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. 21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
1 Thessalonians 1:3
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
