Happy Thanksgiving. It’s episode 42! This time of year there’s a lot of emphasis on family and for some, that means being alone. This weeks episode we discuss that it’s not good to be alone. Sometimes when we’re going through we like to be left alone, some consider themselves “introverts,” some just say “I’m just not a people-person” but whatever your reasoning it isn’t always good. In fact, God explains that’s it’s not good only two chapters into the Bible. Hope your encouraged by this discussion and provoked to embrace the people God put in your life. Have a happy thanksgiving everyone!

You Are Not Alone
It’s Not Good To Be Alone
And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
We Need Each Other
24 And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. 25 Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
9 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
34 Mary said to the angel, “But how? I’ve never slept with a man.” 35 The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, the power of the Highest hover over you; Therefore, the child you bring to birth will be called Holy, Son of God. 36-38 “And did you know that your cousin Elizabeth conceived a son, old as she is? Everyone called her barren, and here she is six months pregnant! Nothing, you see, is impossible with God.” And Mary said, Yes, I see it all now: I’m the Lord’s maid, ready to serve. Let it be with me just as you say. Then the angel left her. 39-45 Mary didn’t waste a minute. She got up and traveled to a town in Judah in the hill country, straight to Zachariah’s house, and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby in her womb leaped. She was filled with the Holy Spirit, and sang out exuberantly, You’re so blessed among women, and the babe in your womb, also blessed! And why am I so blessed that the mother of my Lord visits me? The moment the sound of your greeting entered my ears, The babe in my womb skipped like a lamb for sheer joy. Blessed woman, who believed what God said, believed every word would come true!
36-38 Then Jesus went with them to a garden called Gethsemane and told his disciples, “Stay here while I go over there and pray.” Taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he plunged into an agonizing sorrow. Then he said, “This sorrow is crushing my life out. Stay here and keep vigil with me.”
We Need God
2 Timothy 4:16-18
16 At my first defense no one came to stand by me, but all deserted me. May it not be charged against them! 17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion’s mouth. 18 The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Divided Is How We Fall
23 So Jesus called them together and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand. 26 And if Satan is divided and rises against himself, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27 Indeed, no one can enter a strong man’s house to steal his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can plunder his house.
Don’t Separate Yourself
He who separates himself seeks his own desire, He quarrels against all sound wisdom. Job 13:13
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. 19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
Don’t Separate Others
28 A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends.
For lack of wood the fire goes out, And where there is no whisperer, contention quiets down.
Don’t Separate From God
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
4 You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.
3 and with diligence to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 46 With one accord they continued to meet daily in the temple courts and to break bread from house to house, sharing their meals with gladness and sincerity of heart
